The India International Science Festival (IISF) represents a synergistic effort involving the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Department of Space, and Department of Atomic Energy. This collaborative initiative was conducted in partnership with Vijnana Bharati, a science movement led by the nation’s scientists imbued with a spirit of indigenous innovation. The school organized a trip for 61 students of classes IX and XI It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to witness a wide range of achievement in the fields of science, technology and innovation by the country. The core aim of the India International Science Festival (IISF) is to celebrate the realm of science and ensures its accessibility to everyone.
The fundamental concept is to involve the general populace in science through enjoyable and entertaining means, fostering contributions to health, prosperity, and a meaningful life. Through innovative programs and initiatives, it was a platform for both the public and the scientific community, fostering collaboration and participation in the collective endeavour to advance scientific pursuits for the betterment of India and humanity, both domestically and internationally. Shri Manohar Lal Khattar ji, Chief minister of Haryana, as the esteemed Chief Guest for the occasion emphasized the boundless benefits that science offers to society without any discrimination. He recognized the importance of science in shaping the future, he expressed his commitment to further integrate science with society through a significant announcement.
The exhibits at the hall of science through games and toys acted like a bridge in making the subjects more accessible and enjoyable and instilled in them passion for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) at this young age. Our enthusiastic children participated in on-the-spot activities and won prizes. The event proved to be highly educational for the young participants. The festival inspired our young minds and developed in them fundamental scientific principles, also fostered curiosity and critical thinking.
