The National Academy of Direct Taxes in collaboration with Salwan Education Trust organized the Desh Aur Hum 2.0 Finale event at Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium, SPM Civic Centre, New Delhi on 4 August 20233. The event was to reward the efforts of all the schools who participated in the event and put in their hard work. The event was attended by Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal (Retd.), Principal, Ms. Sheetal Kapoor (HM), two teachers (Ms. Ravneet Kaur and Mr. Sunil Chaudhary) and 34 students from classes IX and XI.The event coordinators introduced the esteemed chief guests – Shri Ravi Agarwal (Central Direct Tax Board), Shri Madhukar Kumar Bhagat (ADG, NADT RC Delhi), Shri HVS Gill and Shri Sushil Dutt Salwan (Chairman Salwan Education Trust).
Shri Madhukar Kumar Bhagat, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to all the participating schools and appreciated their efforts in making the event a grand success.In recognition of the dedication and hard work put forth by the judges, they were felicitated during the ceremony. The winners of various competitions were awarded in a memorable prize distribution ceremony. Nirvani Sharma (class IX) from Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar III won the ‘Eternal Graffiti: Billboard Designing’ Competition.
The event continued with spectacular performances by the winners of ‘Rendezvous: Voice of India on Air’ and the ‘Creative Musings: Poetry Competition.’ The winners of the ‘Jingle Making’ competition and the ‘Nukkad Natak’ segment also showcased their brilliance through their performances.
Shri Sushil Dutt Salwan, in his speech, emphasized the crucial role of taxes in building a strong nation and commended Salwan Education Trust for actively collaborating with tribal art and NADT to contribute to the nation-building process. He expressed his firm belief in the future generation’s ability to lead the nation in the right direction. Further, a motivating speech was given by Shri Ravi Agarwal, who applauded the joint efforts of Salwan Education Trust and NADT in spreading awareness about taxes among students.Finally, the rolling trophy of the Desh Aur Hum 2.0 event was presented to Lotus Valley School, Gurugram, in recognition of their exceptional performance and dedication.
