Lohri Celebrations
The Salwan fraternity of Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar celebrated Lohri with lot of exuberance and gaiety on 13th January 2023 in the school premises. The day commemorated with immense joy, enthusiasm and magnificence.
A special arrangement of bonfire was made where in all teachers from primary, middle and senior wing and other members of the Salwan family gathered together and immersed themselves in festive spirit by dancing on foot tapping Punjabi music to the fullest. Peanuts, Rewari, popcorns etc. were distributed amongst all and savoured. Every one offered their prayers to the sacred fire and wished each other ‘Happy Lohri’ marking the advent of the new year and passing of winter solstice. The celebration was a great way to bond together and spend some quality fun time.

The school has adopted WHO’s guidelines of ten core life skills, which are Self-awareness, Decision-making, Effective communication, Problem-solving, Empathy, Critical thinking, Creative thinking, Interpersonal relationship, Coping with stress and emotion.
Clubs form an integral part of learning. In order to promote holistic development of the child, the clubs are based on a collaborative approach adopted by all the Faculties.
The school follows a House System wherein students from Classes Nursery to XII are uniformly placed. This system gives the students ample opportunities through Inter- House Competitions.
Students exchange programmes propel students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives. They help in developing a global outlook through myriad opportunities of collaboration.
