Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them, Salwan Public School (pre-primary wing) celebrated ‘Grandparents’ Day’ on September 9, 2022.
The programme commenced by welcoming the grandparents with tilak, followed by the welcome speech given by the headmistress- Mrs. Sheetal Kapoor. The tinytots gracefully danced to the Welcome Song. The ‘Talent Show’ was organized where students and grandparents exhibited their talent by way of songs, rhymes, dance performances etc.
The kindergardeners were back on stage with ‘Aerobics Dance’. They performed rhythmically. The students participated in a race and game, with support from their grandparents, namely ‘Burst All Balloons’. All the winners were rewarded with gifts by our headmistress ma’am, that brought a twinkle to their eyes.
The pleasant day concluded with a Thank You speech by our coordinator- Mrs. Anjali Malik. It was a memorable day for the grandparents, one they will cherish for a long time.
