Sustainable development is a way of thinking about how we organise our work and lives – including the education system – so that we don’t destroy our planet. It means collaborating with people all around the world to find solutions that improve the quality of life without storing up problems for the future, or impacting unfairly on other people’s lives.Our school has initiated and prepares our young students for a lifetime of sustainable living, through its teaching and its day-to-day practices.

It is guided by a commitment to care: for oneself; for each other and for the environment itself. Today thinking deeply and broadly about public problems is not a luxury but a necessity. Our students are made aware to grapple with the moral and philosophical issues of their time and place. Various programmes have been introduced to sustain the momentum, our students are collaborating with Australian, U.K & Singapore students through our Cultural Exchange Programmes and are working together on global issues.

Educational trips are organized for spreading environmental education to get first hand knowledge about nature and importance of its conservation. Projects like Sustainable Living with International City Auroville have given a cutting edge to our curriculum, giving an insight to the students about how communities will live and survive 50 years hence. Various “Hands On Approach Programmes” have been introduced to enable our young students to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizen.
