THE PLEASURE OF UNDERSTANDING The pleasure of learning of knowing, and of understanding is one of the important feelings that any child expects from the experiences he comforts alone, with other children or with adult. ________________________________________________________ IMAGE BUILDERS We believe that children (like poets, writers, musicians, scientists) are avid seekers and builders of images that can be used to make other images, passing through sensations, emotions, relationships, fleeting theories etc. ________________________________________________________ REASON & IMAGINATION Our experience confirms that children need a great deal of freedom: the freedom to .investigate and to try, to make mistakes and to correct mistakes, to choose where and with whom to invest their curiosity, intelligence and emotions. ________________________________________________________ FEELING WHOLE The need for a complete re-working of what we see as children's potential, the process and values involved in the development of the child and his knowledge and culture.
