Salwan Public School celebrated ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to pay homage to the most prominent leaders of Indian Freedom Struggle by organising a series of events. Teachers of classes I and II organized a special live assembly, wherein the little Salwanians played the role of famous leaders/ freedom fighters – Rani Laxmi bai, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Sarojini Naidu, Mahatma Gandhi and shared their contributions towards India’s struggle for attaining freedom. Teachers from classes III to V enlightened the students about the significance of the event and shared stories through videos about the sacrifices made by famous Indian leaders. With the help of thought-provoking videos, documentaries and discussions, the teachers were able to motivate the young learners and instil the values of heroism and bravery of great leaders.
